We are thrilled to share the highlights of our participation in the SelectUSA Investment Summit 2024. It was an incredible event, packed with insightful discussions, innovative ideas, and valuable connections.
Panel: Global Tech Landscape
Our Founder & CEO, Esra Talu, was a panelist on the "Global Tech Landscape" session. Moderated expertly by Mr. Russ Shaw, CBE, Founder of Global Tech Advocates, the session featured deep insights from Esra and Ms. Sally Buberman, Chief Operating Officer at Mana Tech. They engaged the audience with their perspectives on the evolving global technology sector and the role of the United States as a premier destination for innovative startups. The audience was highly engaged, making the session dynamic and interactive.
Judging the Open Tech Pitch Sessions
Esra also had the honor of serving as a Judge for the Open Tech Pitch sessions. The level of innovation and creativity showcased by the participating startups was truly inspiring. Each pitch reflected the hard work and passion of the entrepreneurs, making the judging process both challenging and rewarding.
Mentorship at Select Global Women in Tech
We are proud to announce that Esra will continue her mentorship role at Select Global Women In Tech (SGWIT) in 2024, having also mentored in 2023. The SGWIT Program promotes American competitiveness and technology leadership by attracting talented women leaders in emerging tech sectors and supporting women’s economic empowerment globally.
The SGWIT Mentorship Network introduces international women tech entrepreneurs to the U.S. market with support from SelectUSA’s data, counseling services, and networking opportunities. Participants have access to:
An experienced mentor from the U.S. startup ecosystem.
An exclusive networking platform to connect with the SGWIT Community.
SelectUSA data and counseling services.
Educational content, webinars, workshops, and virtual events, including the annual SelectUSA Investment Summit.
Participants are grouped into pods for group mentoring and informational support throughout the year-long program, with limited availability for one-on-one mentorships.
Mentors are selected based on their interest in supporting women-run businesses and their expertise in aiding tech startups with U.S. expansion. SGWIT applicants identify as women and represent foreign-based tech startups planning U.S. expansion.
